Ray, the no oversight bailout plan was handed down from BUSH to Congress and then REJECTED by DEMOCRATS. We don't know what is going to come out of it, but I am confident that once Obama takes the oath of office we will have someone competent to provide the proper leadership to resolve our economic woes. With Bush there we don't have a chance.....
As for McCain, it was said he "held his cards close to his vest" in the meetings about the bailout and "didn't contribute anything of importance" according to multiple non partisan sources. So he suspended his campaign to rush to Washington to contribute NOTHING? HUH? Yah, disappointed would be a good word for what I would be feeling if I had been supporting McCain. The political theatre employed by McCain during this campaign has been something else! Suspend this, cancel that, no debate, wait, I'll debate, and he selects an unknown VP he had only met one time for a few minutes, and she wont talk to anyone unscripted? WOW! ERRATIC if you ask me......
As for Obama and "divide and conquer" tactics, please give me an example of this? Obama has been trying to bring everyone on board and has done a very good job trying not to alienate the right, so I don't agree with your assertion here.
