Bob Marley and a good majority of the original Wailers spent a HUGE amount of time driving up and down the West End Road, now "One Love Drive" during the early 1970's and lived for a good amount of time on the road. This was when Bob and [his girlfriend] Esther were building their house in Little Bay. They stayed at Awee Maway Village, who many of you would only know this place at the 'Pickled Parrot'. This place is now just before the Rock House (that cove).
I'm sure the 'Bob Marley Foundation' would NOT approve his image, that is how they {at least Rita} seem to be.
What it was like in the early 1970's -- there really were not too many cars at all on Lighthouse Road... there were really only several vehicles that passed by with any frequency.. one was Mr. Hogg's vehicle, the same as Bob Marley's vehicle.. an army green big jeep kind of vehicle and the other was the 'blue ice truck'.
